LEVEL 0
An indoor complex with no windows, no sky, and no confirmed edge. Walls are mono-yellow. Carpet is always slightly damp. The fluorescent hum never stops — it only changes pitch when you notice it.
1990 / TEST 6
Internal files refer to an event labeled TEST 6. The surviving frames show empty rooms, a running timestamp, and a name written on a wall in what looks like graphite: PETER TENCH.
ASYNC
Project notes describe “threshold rooms” — spaces that appear behind ordinary drywall if you move through it at the wrong angle. They called the other side a side-effect. Then they stopped calling it anything.
THE HUM
If you walk long enough, the lights begin to remember you. Distance is not a map. Distance is only how far you have already failed to leave.
God save you if you hear something wandering nearby.
It has already heard you.
